Meet Vickie, our May Brocc Star!

Every month, we recognize a DNO team member who goes above and beyond in their role. This month’s Brocc Star is Vickie Britch, Lead Bookkeeper, whose experience, dependability, and positive attitude have made her an essential part of the DNO team.

Vickie has been with DNO for 16 years and has worked in produce accounting for 31 years.

In her role, she helps manage the day-to-day transactions between DNO and our customers and vendors, keeping important accounting processes running smoothly behind the scenes. She also supports the department with the smaller tasks that pop up throughout the day, always willing to jump in where she is needed.

One of the many ways Vickie stands out is through her attention to detail and commitment to doing things right. She works hard to make sure customer ledgers stay accurate and up to date, including entering credit memos quickly and carefully researching them to ensure they are applied to the correct items and orders. Her work helps keep things organized, accurate, and moving forward for both our team and our customers.

Vickie is also someone her team can count on during times of change. She has stepped up to take on additional responsibilities when coworkers were on leave or when roles shifted, helping create continuity and support for the accounting department. Her deep knowledge, strong prioritization skills, and willingness to help make her a steady and trusted presence on the team.

One accomplishment Vickie is especially proud of is helping DNO transition to new software systems. From testing the software to helping make the switch as seamless as possible, she has played an important role in moving the company forward. Over time, she has adapted to new tools and processes like Business Central, ACH, system-based emailing, and more paperless workflows, showing her flexibility and commitment to growing alongside the business.

Outside of work, Vickie enjoys cooking, trying new foods through DNO’s Snack Sack program, spending time with her cats at home, and working on home improvement projects. We are grateful for everything Vickie brings to DNO: her experience, her teamwork, her reliability, and the care she puts into her work every day.
