A classroom scene showing a woman in a blue jacket eating an orange snack, with young children sitting at tables. The room has colorful educational posters and toys, including a basket of toy tools. On the wall, there is a logo reading 'SnackTime Explorers' with a magnifying glass and apple icon.

SnackTime Explorers, a program developed by DNO Produce’s sister company, FRESHEALTH, in partnership with the nonprofit Pilot Light, brings a new level of appreciation for fresh produce to schools benefiting from FFVP funding.

Meticulously designed with both students and educators in mind, this initiative goes beyond just serving fruits and vegetables—it creates an engaging environment that encourages healthier food choices.

By delivering fresh-cut produce to eligible schools, the FFVP boosts students’ exposure to and comfort with a variety of fruits and vegetables. SnackTime Explorers takes this a step further, adding fun, engaging activities to each week’s FFVP deliveries.

Aligned with the Food Education Standards, SnackTime Explorers helps students and educators make meaningful connections with the food they eat, the people around them, and the broader community.
