Meet Kevin: Our December Brocc Star!

We are excited to announce that the last Brocc Star award of 2025 goes to Kevin Allen! As our hardworking Education Sales Manager, Kevin is on the frontlines of customer service and satisfaction. He has brought many “wins” to the sales department this year with his positive attitude, persistence, and dedication. This was a well-earned reward!

As our Education Sales Manager, Kevin’s responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies within the school nutrition space, overseeing other members of the sales team, tracking performance through reporting and forecasting, collaborating with other departments to support business growth, and ensuring revenue targets are met. Throughout his several years at DNO, Kevin has built strong customer relationships and has grown as a leader and a strategist.

His commitment to responsiveness and problem-solving ensures that our customers, many of whom serve thousands of students each day, can rely on us without interruption.

Kevin has built a strong reputation for customer service. His colleagues gush that, “Kevin consistently demonstrates what it means to be customer obsessed.” It’s easy to see that he’s always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that customers are supported, whether it be responding to calls, texts, and emails late at night or working over the weekend to resolve issues before they impact service.

Working closely with numerous school nutrition professionals, Kevin understands the importance of our deliveries arriving on time. When one school district experienced a late truck delay this year that threatened to disrupt breakfast service the next day for students thatcv rely on the meal, Kevin personally coordinated with DNO’s logistics and warehouse teams late that evening, rerouted product from another load, and made sure the delivery arrived before the first bell. Kevin’s dedication doesn’t just keep orders moving; it builds trust, strengthens relationships, and reminds our partners that they have someone who truly cares about their success.

His detail-oriented approach keeps customers happy. From double-checking orders to following up with customers after deliveries to ensure nothing slipped through the cracks, he takes ownership of every detail. For example, when Kevin noticed a small discrepancy in a customer’s invoice that no one else had caught, rather than letting it go or waiting for the customer to bring it up, he immediately dug into the issue, confirmed the error, and worked with account to correct it before it ever became a problem for the customer.

Additionally, when DNO began working with a new distributor, Kevin handled every aspect of the onboarding with “white glove” treatment, and they have remained extremely happy with his level of support. He makes it his mission to make his customer’s work easier with top-level focus at every step of the way.

Kevin’s the kind of teammate who always checks in, offers to help before being asked, and finds ways to lift others up, whether that’s covering a call for someone who’s out or taking extra time to help a new team member learn the ropes. He has a knack for putting a smile on anyone’s face.

During the rollout of a new distributor partner, Kevin took full ownership of communication between teams, ensuring every detail was handled and every question was answered. His calm leadership and follow-through turned a complex process into a smooth win for everyone involved.

Overall, his attitude and work ethic embody what it means to be “people centered.” He leads by example and makes DNO a place where collaboration, accountability, and respect truly thrive.
